2003 Dinner

This year W.C.C. once again held its annual dinner at The Beacon in Langton Green to celebrate the highs and lows of the 2003 season.  It was another difficult year for the club with the 1st XI being relegated, the 2nd XI maintaining their Division 5 status and the 3rd XI also being relegated.

During the evening, the usual awards were made for team player of the year, best bowling, batting and catching.  The following were recipients of the 2003 awards.

Batting : Brough Cooper

Bowling : Andy Dean

Catching : John Penny

Saturday 1st XI : Toby Cornes

Saturday 2nd XI : Tim Tunbridge

Saturday 3rd XI : John Mitchell

Sunday 1st XI : Jerome Mitchell (Popsey)

Sunday 2nd XI : Joey Piper

The Fred Crowhurst Trophy : Iain Bell
